A digital clock comprises a plurality of luminous digit display tubes which are arranged to display times, a source of clock pulse of a predetermined frequency, and electronic counter means responsive to the clock pulse for operating the digit display tubes in a predetermined sequence.
Digital apparatus adapted to produce an output pulse having a time duration controlled by a digital word is disclosed. Such apparatus includes an addressable memory for storing a control bit in an address defined by the digital word and means actuated after the storage of the control bit for reading the contents of contiguous addresses of the memory and for initiating the output pulse and means for terminating such output pulse in response to the reading of the control bit from the memory.
A digital timer is provided with means operable generally for indicating digital time and means for controlling the operation of the indicating means. Means for driving the controlling means effects the time indicating operation of the indicating means, and means is both idly driven through the controlling means by the driving means and operable manually for actuating to controlling means to effect reset of the indicating means to the selected time. The controlling means includes means for relea...
A digital clock is provided which includes a main shaft rotatably supporting a plurality of time indicating drums which have inner teeth on one side and driving teeth on the other side of their inner periphery. The clock also includes pinion locking means arranged within the time indicating drums on the same side as said driving teeth. A plurality of intermediate pinions are arranged within the drums to engage the pinion locking means and driving teeth on one side and with the inner teeth on the...
A transversal type of digital filter is disclosed which uses substantially less hardware than previously known types. Conventional multiplying devices are eliminated by use of a read only memory containing a table of squares and addressed both by weighted value samples of the input signal and by values of the input signal. The weighted values are accumulated and corrected by the use of the second squared values addressed by the value of the signal sample to generate a sample of a filtered output...
A digital display device of the line segment type for displaying on a face plate illuminated characters of an alpha-numeric type. The device is generally formed of a housing having a front surface which is covered by a face plate provided with a plurality of slots forming line segments for forming the alpha-numeric display to be illuminated. The housing is formed by injection molding and is provided with a plurality of sockets for receiving light producing elements for selectively illuminating a...
An oscillator with a ceramic resonator in the feedback circuit for providing a stable continuous signal to a programmable divider each time an enable signal is applied to the oscillator, a read-only memory connected to the programmable divider and operated by timing means, including a counter and a clock, which sequentially switches the memory to cause the programmable divider to divide the output of the oscillator by a different divisor to provide a predetermined sequence of signals, each havin...
A digital filter in which a sample y.sub.i of the output filtered signal at any instant i is derived from the sum of weighted data samples Where a.sub.k are the filter coefficients and x.sub.1.sub.-k are data samples, the digital filter including: Means for simultaneously providing two consecutive data samples; First adding means for providing a first set of terms by adding the first sample of said two consecutive samples to each one of a first set of filter coefficients a.sub.1, a.sub.3, a.sub....
A digital fluorometer is described to measure the fluorescence of a specimen in an automatic manner. A photometric measuring bridge is formed with a cycled reference light source to balance the fluorescence from a specimen stimulated by a cycled ultra-violet light source. A digital control signal representative of the light unbalance is generated to vary the average intensity level from the reference source in a direction tending to establish the light balance. A pulse rate control is used to va...
