A photoimageable element comprising: a substrate; a layer of a photosensitive composition comprising a photosensitive material coated on the substrate; and a protective overcoating comprising an oxygen barrier polymeric material and antiblocking particulate material wherein the oxygen barrier component has an oxygen permeability of no greater than about 10.sup.-14 cc(cm)/cm.sup.2 (sec)(Pa).
