A spiral hairspring is molded from a resilient plastic material so that the several turns thereof are interconnected by a plurality of bridges to facilitate flowing the plastic material throughout the narrow confines of the mold passages. The interconnecting bridges are then cut from between the several turns to form the hairspring. Also, the hairspring may be molded integral with a shaft having a pinion gear thereon.
An assembly comprising a generally spiral hairspring intended for attachment to an oscillating element which is subject to the action of an electromagnetic arrangement synchronizing its frequency with that of a pilot frequency. The turns of the hairspring are divided into two groups or sections, one external group or section of at least one turn and one internal group or section. The groups or sections are connected to each other by a section of hairspring substantially radially disposed with re...
A horological instrument includes an oscillator assembly and a hairspring. The hairspring is fastened at one end to the oscillator assembly and is anchored to the frame or bridge at its opposite end. A regulator includes two spaced apart arms having slots which surround the hairspring. The regulator is designed to impart a positive isochronism characteristic to the hairspring in order to permit synchronizing of the balance wheel motor. The frequency of balance oscillation is thus made dependent ...
A hairspring and collet assembly for timepieces in which the collet has a base having an opening and a stud integral from the base in a direction parallel to the axis of the opening. The hairspring comprises an inner turn ending in a bend. The stud occupies a portion of the base extending between the opening and the periphery of the base. The non-deformed portion of the inner turn of the hairspring is secured to the stud and the bend extends freely away from the stud about the opening.
The invention comprises an improved hairspring arrangement having a hairspring fixed in a groove of the hub in such a way that the hairspring protrudes from the groove, and furthermore, the protruding part of the hairspring should carry the electric conductor. The basic conception of the invention makes it possible to fix the hairspring, which has the customary shape of an upright standing metal strip, to the hub in the usual way. Normally one of the front surfaces of the hub is equipped with a ...
The invention relates mainly to a hairspring intended to equip the balance wheel of a mechanical timepiece. It is in the form of a spiraled rod (10) cut from an {001} single-crystal silicon plate. Its structure and its dimensions are calculated so as to minimize the thermal drift of the hairspring/balance-wheel assembly by means of the first and second thermal coefficients of its spring constant.
The termination arrangement comprises a two conductor hairspring and/or hub arrangement in an electric watch for coupling drive pulses to a balance wheel drive coil. A metallic hairspring, which is fastened to the hub, has a conductor which is insulated from the hub and balance wheel staff or arbor. A contact - metallic washer like - member is bonded to the hairspring collet such that the contact member is electrically insulated from the hairspring colet. The contact member is, also, electricall...
The hairspring stud 6 has an annular groove 12 provided therearound. The side face 14 of the groove 12 is perpendicular to the stud axis and the side face 13 thereof is frusto-conical. Stud 6 is inserted in a guiding slot having side faces 8 lying on resilient arms 9 of a stud holder. The edges 10 and 11 of faces 8 are rectilinear and evenly beveled. Stud 6 urges arms 9 slightly away from one another in a direction perpendicular to the stud axis. Arms 9 are consequently bent so that they exert a...
In order particularly to put a watch into beat and adjust the isochronism, in addition to the poising screws (2a, 2b) of the balance (1) and the fine adjusting screw (7) pressing on the index tail 20a to alter the orientation of the index (20), the device includes, on the one hand, two screws (19, 29) respectively fixed in the balance cock (10) and in the index (20) to maneuver clamps by means of L-shaped rocking elements (13, 23) to fix the end of the balance spring and define its useful length...
The two conductor hairspring-hub arrangement comprises a metallic and substantially conventional hairspring which is fastened to a unitary hub, i.e. a metallic washer-like hub, to form a core or inner conductor. This inner conductor is sheathed with an insulating mantle or layer which is, in turn, coated with an electrical conductive mantle, i.e. an outer conductor insulated from the inner conductor. The insulating and conductive mantles have openings so that separate electrical connection can b...
