A high chair which includes a removable tray with a single-handed actuation handle for actuating a release mechanism. The actuation handle is located on the front edge of the tray and can be pushed slightly forward to operate the release mechanism which pivots fingers out of engagement with grooves located on the sides of the seat of the high chair. The seat can be removed from the high chair by actuating a latch located on a bottom side thereof and pivoting it slightly while lifting off to dise...
A conformal coating protects electrical components used in a high voltage high vacuum evironment from flashovers caused by patch charging. The coating comprises a semiconductor powder, preferably elemental boron, having a low atomic number and uniformly dispersed throughout an organic binder such an an epoxy. The coating's surface resistivity is made to be high enough so that the coating acts as an electrical insulator. On the other hand, the coating's surface resistivity is sufficiently low tha...
A high-torque high-ratio transmission comprises a housing provided with a rigid annular surface with teeth juxtaposed with the teeth of a flexible element connected to a slow shaft. The fast shaft has a flange provided with a groove of varying depth in which an array of balls is guided, the balls pressing the flexible element against the housing crown of teeth as the rapid shaft is rotated. The flange of the rapid shaft can be braced by another set of balls on the opposite side thereof.
For use in a perforating gun assembly typically lowered on an electric wireline or on tubing into a wellbore exposed to high pressure and high temperature, an apparatus is set forth which includes an elongate cylindrical housing cooperative with detonating cord. It has a side port or window to enable the detonating cord to be folded slightly into it. The housing includes a cavity for receiving required explosives and connection with an ignitor. This arrangement enables the housing to connect wit...
An amplifier circuit includes a first transistor having a control terminal that receives a first amplifier input, a first terminal, and a second. The amplifier circuit includes a transimpedance amplifier having an input that communicates with the first terminal of the first transistor, and an output. The amplifier circuit includes an output amplifier having an input that communicates with the output of the transimpedance amplifier and an output.
A high density, high speed, low profile, electrical connector (100) includes a housing (10) and conductive contacts (20) partially positioned in the housing. The housing has a base (11) defining therethrough a number of passageways (114). Each contact has a body portion (21) and a pair of cantilevered beams (22) extending from the body portion. A retaining tab (212) is stamped from the body portion and abuts against a projection (116) formed in the passageway for protect the housing from possibl...
An amplifier circuit includes a first transistor having a control terminal that receives a first amplifier input, a first terminal, and a second terminal. A second transistor includes a control terminal that receives a second amplifier input, a first terminal, and a second terminal that communicates with the second terminal of the first transistor. A differential transimpedance amplifier includes a first input that communicates with the first terminal of the first transistor, a second input that...
Provided herein are propylene polymers which are capable of being used as thermoplastic polyolefins just as they emerge from the reactor system described, without further compounding of components which substantially modify the physical properties of the polymers, as such compounding is required of polymers of the prior art. Polymers according to the invention unexpectedly possess both low temperature ductility and high flexural modulus, which properties were related in inverse proportion to one...
A pipelined analog to digital converter includes a first stage that receives an input voltage, that generates a first sampled digital value and a first residue voltage, and that includes a first amplifier that amplifies the first residue voltage and generates a first amplified residue voltage. A second stage receives the first amplified residue voltage, generates a second sampled digital value and a second residue voltage, and includes a second amplifier that amplifies the second residue voltage...
A toroidal core is mounted on an alignment disc having uniformly distributed circumferential notches or holes therein. Wire is then wound about the toroidal core in a uniform pattern defined by the notches or holes. Prior to winding, the wire may be placed within shrink tubing. The shrink tubing is then wound about the alignment disc and core and then heat-shrunk to positively retain the wire in the uniform position on the toroidal core.
