A horological device is provided with an alarm switch in the form of an alarm wheel having a conductive path extending from a topside of the wheel to a bottom side of the wheel. The alarm wheel is adapted to operate in an alarm circuit arranged to generate audible signals at a predetermined time. An alarm setting pinion is engaged with the alarm switch to prevent undesired movement of the alarm wheel in case of mechanical shock.
A horological instrument includes an oscillating member as its time base. The oscillator, for example, a balance wheel, carries a radioactive source. The path of movement of the radioactive source is within the range of a radiation detector fixed to the base of the instrument. The radiation detector controls an electronic switch which is connected to a power source and provides an impulse to a coil. The coil provides a driving impulse to the oscillator.
A process of making a base or bridge member for a horological device such as a watch, wherein the said member is injection moulded from a synthetic material containing a filling of reinforcing material, the member containing holes which are subsequently injection moulded with bearings of a further synthetic material having a low coefficient of friction.
An electronic watch utilizes an alternating current unidirectional induction stepping motor for electromechanical conversion. The motor is driven step-wise by an oscillator, a frequency-reducing divide circuit and a polarity reversing driver circuit. The stepping motor includes a rotor having a multipole upper disk, a multishoe bottom disk, and an axially magnetized cylindrical magnet separating and magnetizing the two multishoe disk. The stator has pole portions cooperating with both upper and ...
A horological device with a conventional balance wheel assembly, supporting bridge and hairspring with an adjustable regulator for the hairspring. The improvement comprises means for pinning the end of the hairspring to the bridge and a special bridge extension to retain the hairspring in the open regulator slot. In a first embodiment, the bridge extension is part of an integral bridge member. In the second embodiment, the bridge extension is pivotable to cover the regulator slot as well as to p...
A horological instrument such as an electric or electronic watch includes an indexing mechanism or dial train drive for transmitting power from an oscillating balance wheel to an index wheel. The index wheel drives the gear train of the watch and is in turn coupled to the watch hands. The indexing mechanism comprises a direct drive arrangement wherein the index wheel is driven by means of pins mounted on a plate which is fixed to the balance staff.
A solid state watch with electrooptic display employs digital indication of hours and 12 radial markers for indication of minutes. First and second markers are advanced as well as modulated in varying timed relationship with respect to one another, so as to give an indication of the degree of passage of time during 5 minute intervals.
A solid state watch with electrooptic display employs digital indication of hours and five minute radial markers for indication of minutes. A first selected marker is actuated during five minute intervals and second markers are modulated in varying spaced relationship to the first marker, so as to give an indication of the degree of passage of time during five minute intervals.
A method for adjusting the rate of a horological module, said horological module including a printed circuit (1) on which are mounted in particular a quartz (10) and an integrated circuit (20) including an oscillator (21) driven by the quartz (10), a frequency divider circuit (22) with several stages (22.1 to 22.15), an adjustment circuit (23) allowing the introduction of a correction factor of the division ratio of said frequency divider circuit (22), and a memory circuit (24) containing data (...
The instant invention relates to a horological movement provided with shaft guide means. This movement has horometric means (H) capable of supplying a time information and at least one control member (34) composed of the shaft and adapted to act on the horometric means (H), this control member (34) being guided axially and/or in rotation by the intermediary of guide means, this movement also being characterized in that said guide means are composed of three guide pieces (38, 40, 42) mounted and ...
