Novel hybridomas, human monoclonal antibodies, and their uses are provided. Specifically CLNH5 is a human-human hybridoma which secretes IgM monoclonal antibodies specific for cervical of carcinomas. The monoclonal antibodies can find use in therapy and diagnosis, both in vitro and in vivo. The hybridoma CLNH5 was deposited at the A.T.C.C. for patent purposes as defined in M.P.E.P. 608.01(p) on Jan. 28, 1983 and given A.T.C.C. Accession No. HB8206.
Novel hybridomas, human monoclonal antibodies and their uses are provided. The antibodies distinguish a human neoplastic cell from a normal cell of the same tissue type. The monoclonal antibodies find use in therapy and diagnosis, both in vitro and in vivo.
Human CGRP (calcitonin-gene-related peptide) has the formula: H-Ala-Cys-Asn-Thr-Ala-Thr-Cys-Val-Thr-His-Arg-Leu-Ala-Gly-Leu-Leu-Ser-Arg- Ser-Gly-Gly-Val-Val-Lys-Asn-Asn-Phe-Val-Pro-Thr-Asn-Val-Gly-Ser-Lys-Ala-Phe -NH.sub.2. Human CGRP or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, dispersed in a pharmaceutically acceptable liquid or solid carrier, can be administered to mammals, including humans, to influence memory, mood and pain appreciation and to achieve a substantial lowering of blood pressu...
Proteins with inhibin activity having a weight of about 32,000 daltons. The molecule is composed of two chains having molecular weights of about 18,000 and about 14,000 daltons, respectively, which are bound together by disulfide bonding. The 18K chain is obtained from the human inhibin gene and has the formula: H-Ser-Thr-Pro-Leu-Met-Ser-Trp-Pro-Trp-Ser-Pro-Ser-Ala-Leu-Arg-Leu-Leu-Gln- Arg-Pro-Pro-Glu-Glu-Pro-Ala-Ala-His-Ala-Asn-Cys-His-Arg-Val-Ala-Leu-Asn-Ile -Ser-Phe-Gln-Glu-Leu-Gly-Trp-Glu-Ar...
Human myeloma fusing lines and human/human hybridomas produced therefrom are disclosed. In one embodiment, the myeloma cell line is HAT sensitive, does not secrete detectable levels of Epstein-Barr virus EBNA-I protein, and does not secrete or elaborate detectable levels of myeloma immunoglobulin. The myeloma cell line and resulting hybridoma are stable over time, and thus permit production of commercial quantities of human monoclonal antibody.
Biologically active lymphotoxin polypeptide species, and derivatives, fragments, aggregates and pharmaceutically acceptable salts are provided. The lymphotoxins are substantially homogenous, and are formulated into pharmaceutical compositions. The lymphotoxins are purified to a specific activity of at least 10.sup.6 units/mg protein by using hydrophobic substances and/or immobilized lentil lectin, or with the use of other chromatographic processes such as ion exchange chromatography, HPLC or gel...
The present invention is directed to the protein human splenin (hsP), substantially free of material associated with the protein in its natural environment in the human spleen. In particular, the present invention relates to such isolated or synthesized human splenin having the amino acid residue sequence: -GLY-LEU-PRO-LYS-GLU-VAL-PRO-ALA-VAL-LEU-THR-LYS-GLN-LYS -LEU-LYS-SER-GLU-LEU-VAL-ALA-ASN-ASN-VAL-THR-LEU-PRO-ALA -GLY-GLU-MET-ARG-LYS-ALA-VAL-TYR-VAL-GLU-LEU-TYR-LEU-GLY -SER-LEU-THR-ALA-GLU-...
Human conglutinin, polyclonal, and monoclonal antibodies raised against human conglutinin, and their uses in therapy and diagnosis are described. Human conglutinin was obtained from human plasma by affinity chromatography with anti-bovine conglutinin antibody, has a relative molecular weight of 330 and 40 K unreduced and 66 K reduced as measured by SDS-PAGE, shows calcium-dependent and sugar inhibitable binding to complement-reacted immune complexes and zymosan, and immunological cross-reaction ...
A human-human hybridoma is formed by subjecting a transformed human cell to a proliferaton inhibitory treatment and then fusing the thus-treated human cell with a human antibody producing cell. A desired clone may be selected from the resultant fused cells by using an anti-HLA antibody.
A novel human cytokine, JE factor, and processes for producing it are disclosed. JE may be used in pharmaceutical preparations for stimulating and/or enhancing immune responsiveness and in wound healing and related tissue repair. containing the factor.
