A process control system includes a transmitter having transmitter circuitry, a sensor, a remote sensing apparatus, a linkage and a slack take-up device. The sensor senses a process variable of a process fluid. The remote sensing apparatus communicating with the process fluid. The linkage communicates between the transmitter and the process fluid. The slack take-up device selectively adjusts a relative length of the linkage between the transmitter and the remote sensing apparatus.
The present invention is a system for increasing the fuel efficiency of a vehicle of the type having an internal combustion engine, a battery, a vacuum line, and a fuel line that feeds fuel to the engine. The system comprises a hydrogen gas generator and a vacuum regulator. A vacuum regulator is in fluid communication with the vacuum line of the vehicle and an output line of the gas generator. The vacuum regulator includes a vacuum pressure adjustment means for controlling the amount of hydrogen...
The inductor assembly of the present invention is configured with an agricultural implement to enhance conveyance of product from a storage hopper to a remote location. The inductor assembly includes an inductor chamber that defines an interior cavity configured to receive the supply of product from the storage hopper, an inlet tube configured to direct the stream of pressurized air so as to generate a combined stream of pressurized air and product, and an outlet tube configured to pass the comb...
This invention for trap stands having a pair of supporting legs spaced apart by cross-members for body grip traps provides an improvement by providing extensions which project beyond the legs to provide height adjustment. Sleeves attached to the extensions are sized to slideably enclose each leg. The sleeves have provisions for securing them to the legs to secure the extensions in place. Another height adjustment improvement adds sleeves to the free end of each leg which slideably enclose each e...
Vacuum glazings and methods of manufacture thereof are described; the glazings provide improved shear stress resistance in that the vacuum glazing comprises two sheets of glass (2, 3), hermetically sealed around the edge (4), with a thermally insulating internal vacuum, and an array of support pillars (5) placed between the glass sheets (2, 3), wherein the pillars (5) consist of a core (13), made of a material of higher compressive strength, with at least one end covered by a layer of softer mat...
A 180.degree. stackable, nestable plastic tote box has ledge supports and foot supports with a combination of vertical and angled surfaces for guiding an upper box relative to a lower box to a stacked position and resisting the tendency of the upper box to collapse into the lower box when it is heavily loaded. The box also has orientation buttons received in recesses at its rim which give the box an easily visible asymmetric appearance. A drainage collector is molded into each box end wall which...
An audio transducer having a cylindrical diaphragm molded with contoured ridges. The diaphragm includes at least two lobes, each extending from a central expanse to the transducer frame. The lobes may have different radii and different angular arc lengths. A driver attached at the central expanse may include a double-sided etched coil, or may be provided by an electrostatic driver having a charged filament attached to the diaphragm. The transducer diaphragm may include a central third lobe havin...
A backing clement for an escalator step comprising a pre-fabricated plate having at least one attachment lug formed thereon, and at least one channel complementary to a projecting part of said cover, by which said cover can be engaged with said element as shown in selected FIG. 2.
A prodrug of the general formula FTLi-(PRT)m, where m is an integer from 1 to 5; FTLi is a ras inhibitor such as a farnesyltransferase inhibitor compound, such as Ia, Ib, Ic; and PRT represents m protecting groups or a precursor thereof, such as compound XVI, which are capable of being cleaved from the ras inhibitor by the action of a enzyme. ##STR1##
Rapid opioid detoxification procedures are provided which include sedating a patient with an anesthetic agent having a short full recovery period. The patient is administered an opioid antagonist while sedated and can be revived to an ambulatory condition within eight hours of initiating therapy. The described methods for detoxification also include administering a diarrhea suppressant, such as octreotide acetate, to limit this unfortunate side effect of the detoxification.
