Certain C-substituted trisulfonic acids, acid ureides, oxalyl amides and salts thereof useful as complement inhibitors.

Compounds for use as orally active anaphylactic inhibitors are disclosed. The compounds are trans-2,3b,4,5,7,8b,9,10-octahydronaphto [1,2-c:5,6-c'] dipyrazoles which may be substituted in both of the pyrazole rings. The Diels-Alder adduct of 2,3 and 6,7 poly(alloocimene) and an activated olefin such as maleic anhydride serves to inhibit the corrosion of metals. The adduct or a derived polyamine reaction product in admixture with an oil such as a petroleum oil or grease is effective to inhibit rusting of ferrous metals.

An inhibitor of angiogenin and method of use of the inhibitor, wherein the inhibitor inhibits the angiogenic activity of angiogenin. The inhibitor is dispensed at a suitable concentration within a physiologically compatable medium, suitable for administration to an animal in sufficient quantity to inhibit the biological activity of naturally occurring angiogenin within the animal.
