This invention relates to a key actuated, coin controlled lock for lockers or the like wherein a coin activates the lock and allows a key to rotate in the tumbler and the coin is returned upon replacement of the key in the lock and the latch mechanism is in unengaged position. The key cannot be removed from the lock until a coin is inserted in the coin slot and the locking mechanism is actuated.
A reciprocable locking bolt is housed in an axially extending groove formed in the bore of a casing rotatably housing a cylindrical lock body. A first set of cylindrical tumblers are mounted in spaced openings in the bolt and project at opposite ends into registering openings in the casing and lock body, respectively, normally to lock the bolt against reciprocation. A second set of tumblers extend directly between the casing and lock body to prevent rotation of the lock body. Each tumbler compri...
A lock includes a rotary shaft inserting a single key having first and second engagement elements, and first and second mating engagement members arranged around said rotary shaft. The first rotation of said single key together with the rotary shaft through an angle causes said first engagement element to engage with said first mating engagement member thereby making preparation for unlocking, and the subsequent rotation of said key through a certain angle causes said second engagement element t...
A lock has an outer casing and a lock cylinder rotatably mounted therein and having a coaxial keyway of round cross section plus several rows of radial bores to accommodate the tumblers and their springs, and also has a key which has notches on its outside profile for the engagement with the tumbler. The key has an equilateral polygonal bit cross section which matches the cross section of the keyhole in the front wall of the lock casing as well as a coaxial opening in the lock cylinder bottom, t...
In a lock in an injection molding apparatus for causing a toggle mechanism to lock molds, a servo motor is used as a drive source for driving the toggle mechanism to perform and control locking.
Lock for overhead doors an similar. The lock comprises a stationary part in the form of a lock housing (10) having a tubular lock sleeve (17) which is parallel with the direction of movement of the door, and a movable part which comprises a lock plunger (13) arranged to enter into the lock sleeve when the door is closed, and in the lock housing a lock latch (10) arranged to be brought into engagement with the plunger and to prevent the extraction of the plunger from the lock sleeve.
A lock is disclosed comprising an upper locking unit and a lower locking unit, said upper locking unit comprising an opening, a plunger disposed within said opening, said opening being so dimensioned as to permit said plunger to be slidably displaced within said opening, said plunger being of such a material that said plunger is caused to be slidably displaced within said opening by a magnetic force being placed in close proximity thereto, said lower locking unit comprising an opening so dimensi...
A lock mechanism preferably for use in a motor vehicle is disclosed and includes safety features to prevent an operator from leaving the keys in the vehicle when it is left unattended. One important purpose of the present invention is to provide means for preventing the operator from starting the vehicle after a proper key has unlocked the lock mechanism, without first withdrawing the key from the lock mechanism. After the key has been extracted, the lock mechanism can then be rotated to a vehic...
A lock capable of being operated by a limited access key and an unlimited access key so as to control the number of persons having lock opening capability. The lock is setable to a trapping phase whereby a key normally operable to open the lock will be rendered inoperable and attempted use of the key will result in the key being trapped in the lock.
A locking mechanism for a variety of uses is disclosed. The mechanism consists of a lock housing and one or more flat-bottomed slots in the housing to receive a flange or flanges from an article or articles to be secured to the housing and a key-operated locking shaft reciprocally mounted for movement across each of the slots. The locking mechanism may be used in a manner comparable to a padlock or may be secured to a supporting structure such as a motorcycle and be used to secure articles such ...
