Thermally coalescible plastisols and organosols of the invention comprise dispersions of single-phase particles of random polymers or copolymers that comprise organic polyelectrolytes that contain at least 1% by weight of ionizable monomer or comonomer, dispersed in a medium that comprises a nonvolatile liquid that is compatible with the resin. Incorporation of a photopolymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated compound provides photosensitive plastisols and organosols useful for making relief and ...
The invention provides a pipe joint made of resin in which a predetermined pressing force in the axial direction corresponding to a fastening torque of a union nut can be obtained, and the strength of threads can be enhanced. Each of the threads of an external thread portion of a joint body and an internal thread portion of a union nut is formed asd an asymmetrical trapezoid, an inclined angle .alpha..sub.1 of first flanks of the asymmetrical trapezoidal threads which contact with each other by ...
Man-made vitreous fibers have a solubility of pH 4.5 of at least 20 nm per day and a melt viscosity of 10 to 70 poise at 1400.degree. C. Novel fibers contain at least 18% Al.sub.2 O.sub.3. Particular products include external wall insulation or cladding and pipe sections. A composition for making suitable fibers may be selected by determining solubility at pH 4.5 or in macrophage.
The present invention consists of a pre-made reinforcement device having a core for receiving a prosthetic crown. A vertical axis, horizontal plane anti-rotational device interconnects the post-and-core and is positioned within indexing recesses extending from a hole in the pretreated tooth. An advantageous locking of the reinforcement device results from the post, core and anti-rotational device combination.
There is described a tire vulcanizing press, comprising a frame provided with a lower supporting plate for allowing a mold for vulcanizing the tires to rest upon, and an upper plate that is mobile with respect to the lower plate. The mold comprises a lower cheek, an upper cheek that is mobile with respect to the lower cheek, and a series of sectors, that are mobile with respect to an annular-containing element, each of which is radially mobile with respect to the upper cheek. The mold further co...
A forceps made in one piece of a plastic material has two arms having each a flat tip of a rectangular or square configuration. Said tips face each other and the arms are of a rigid beam-shaped structure but join in flexible portions. Near to the transition between said beam-shaped structure and said flexible portion each arm has a projection and said projections are dimensioned to engage each other when said tips are pressed against each other surface to surface.
Method and material for fabricating composite structures and cutting tools containing super hard filaments using a modified brazing process that employs liquid phase sintering to alloy a mixture of metals about groups of the filaments in side by side parallelized arrangement to produce preforms or bundles of the filaments secured spaced apart in a strong tough metal matrix. A plurality of the completed bundles may then be bonded together by like method and materials into larger structures, tools...
The invention relates to oil-modified phenolic resole varnishes particularly useful for impregnating paper laminates. Specifically, the invention relates to such compositions in which an economical and useful mixture of alcohols is used as the reaction medium for the resole formation. Laminates prepared using the varnish are characterized by salutary qualities.
Receptacle such as a bottle, beaker or the like made of thermoplastic material, wherein each opening for extraction is constituted by a curved or polygonal slot at least partially closed on itself and made in the end wall by partially melting the thermoplastic material of which said wall is composed, and at least the parts of the end wall surrounding said slot are hermetically fast with a covering foil or cap coated with a layer of adhesive opposite said end wall.
A float device of particularly low cost, having a wide range of application. It utilizes a waste tire with a mass of foamed resin or other porous material filled therein to form an annular float and includes a body structure secured to the float in closely fitting relation thereto and provided centrally with hook means to enable cable or rope connection of the device to an anchor or a hurdle or raft for fishery use. The body structure also has an annular disc portion on which a light device as a...
