Apparatus for cleaning sediment from a pool of liquid includes an elongated conduit with buoyant means to support the conduit in the pool. Liquid is supplied to the conduit under pressure. First jet means associated with the conduit urge it to move laterally toward a wall of the pool. Second jet means associated with the conduit drive it forward. At least one downwardly extending flexible hose secured to the conduit stirs up sediment, which is removed through a drain in the pool.
An improved pool cleaner is provided of the type for submerged random travel generally along the floor and sidewalls of a swimming pool to dislodge and collect debris. The pool cleaner comprises an hydraulically contoured housing consisting of a limited number of shell shaped housing portions designed for rapid assembly about an integrated drive assembly having a water-powered drive train encased within the housing and rotatable wheels outside the housing for supporting and driving the pool clea...

An improved pool light is disclosed, characterized by the use of a circular fluorescent light bulb mounted in a fixture that can be retrofitted into or be utilized as an alternative to an existing conventional incandescent pool light. The fixture includes retaining clips on one side to hold the fluorescent bulb in position and is formed to cooperate with and be disposed within the existing rubber seal of the lens to maintain the waterproof seal of the lens.
A circular billiard or pool table having a plurality of pockets equally spaced around the table with the pockets being spaced radially inwardly from the perimeter of the table. A cushion rail around the perimeter of the table has inwardly projecting bumpers extending towards respective pockets, with the innermost edges of the bumpers being spaced from the respective pockets. The inwardly facing edge of the cushion rail forms a substantially concave smooth, continuous face between the bumpers.
A swimming pool cleaner which has a housing to which suction is applied via a flexible hose. Water flow through the housing is used to drive a turbine which powers a propeller to cause movement of the housing. The buoyancy of the housing is adjusted by filling a chamber, of the housing, with water. The hose is permitted to rotate, and pivot, relatively to the housing to increase the mobility of the cleaner.
A diving pool allowing scuba diving to be easily and safely enjoyed, which comprises a pool bottom progressively becoming deeper from its periphery towards its center, a tower constructed on the pool bottom at a central deepest area and rising to a level above the pool surface, an artificial island formed at a level of the pool surface around the tower, and a deck above the level of the pool surface around the tower; wherein the diving pool can be further equipped, if desired, with a water strea...
A swimming pool cleaner which has a head mounted on wheels, a suction passage through the head, a turbine which is mounted in the suction passage, and a propellor which is driven by the turbine and which propels the head. A rudder, which is oscillated via a gear train driven by the turbine, is used to vary the direction of movement of the head.
A portable child's pool which is suitable for use outdoors is provided having a pool play area suitable for a child to wade or sit in which is surrounded by a second water-retaining unit through which a child user would pass before entering the pool play area, wherein dirt and debris picked up on the feet of the child would be removed.
A pool rack comprising an equilateral triangular-shaped frame having upstanding walls and a flange extending outwardly from the top of the frame for facilitating lifting the rack from around a group of pool balls. The rear wall of the rack, located directly opposite the apex formed by two side walls of the rack, comprises leaf-type springs molded as an integral part of the frame. The frame, including the springs is made of a resilient high-memory material. A push buttons is inserted through the ...
