There is disclosed a printer having a thermal print head and a cooperable platen roll. The platen roll is driven to advance a web of record medium and an ink ribbon into cooperation with the print head. The printer can use an ink ribbon cartridge. The printer has a compact arrangement for the record medium supply roll, the ink ribbon cartridge, the printing mechanism, the drive mechanism, the keyboard, and the cutting mechanism for cutting tags from the web.
A serial printing apparatus is disclosed which has rotatable and axially slide-movable type wheels and means for supplying differently colored inks to the respective type wheels. The improvement in the printing apparatus made by the present invention comprises the provision of axially slide-movable hammers disposed opposed to the respective type wheels. Printing in different colors is performed by the hammers.
A thermosensitive copying machine can selectively use either manually or automatically supplied paper, has a pivotable roller and brake mechanism for minimizing wrinkles in the ink donor sheet, supplies the copy paper and donor sheet over paths which differ except at the recording station, and has a separating guide member for peeling the copied paper away from the donor sheet. The donor sheet transport mechanism is enabled only when necessary for a recording operation.
The present invention provides a printer in which a printing head confronting a platen and a paper pressing roller for pressing a recording paper are attached to the same levers mounted rotatably and turnably and the distance between the top end of the printing head and the platen can directly be changed according to the thickness of the recording paper to be inserted, whereby influences of changes of the paper thickness on the printing state can be eliminated substantially. In this printer, the...
A printer is disclosed which comprises a recording head for recording information on a recording medium and control means for shifting the position of the recording head relative to the recording medium subsequently to the ending of a recording on the recording medium by the recording head at a record end position preset for the recording medium.
A printer having plural type font wheels for function symbols of different colors and plural type font wheels for numerals of different colors fitted on a rotary shaft, wherein the plural type font wheels for numerals are displaced along the shaft for each printing action. The plural type font wheels for function symbols or for numerals are provided with a mask for exposing only one type font wheel of a desired color but covering all other wheels to enable multi-color printing. The selection of ...
A sampled input video signal is supplied to first and second comparators respectively having high and low reference levels, and the outputs of the first and second comparators are checked with each other in synchronism to the timing of the sampling. If the outputs of the first and second comparators are both detected, a thick black dot is printed. If only the output of the second comparator is detected, the pulse duration of a drive pulse output supplied to a printing head is reduced, so that a ...
A printer control system which facilitates monitoring of a telephone line and recognition of a predetermined series of digits as they are being dialed. An alphanumeric display displays the digits printed by a printer and which otherwise would be hidden by the printer until the complete number has been dialed and/or the call terminated. The system automatically monitors a subscriber's line, and provides an alarm when a predetermined sequence of digits have been dialed, allowing the operator to di...
A printer for feeding the sheet intermittently with high precision while preventing a decrease in the print rate is provided. A printer has a feed-in roller for feeding a sheet into a printing region, a feed-out roller for feeding the sheet out of the printing region, a motor for rotating the feed-in roller and the feed-out roller, and a controller for controlling the motor. The controller controls the motor so as to start intermittent sheet feed with a first line-feed-time that specifies a time...
In a printer of the invention, a plurality of head units each including a line thermal head having heat-generating elements arranged in a direction orthogonal to a conveying direction of a recording paper are arranged in the conveying direction of the recording paper. The head unit has an angle-adjusting mechanism that adjusts the angle between the conveying direction of the recording paper, and the arranging direction of the heat-generating elements, and a position-adjusting mechanism that slid...
