The present invention is directed to pallets and related products, i.e. containers including the present invention pallets, which are made of elongated continuous sheet base material which includes side edges which are folded downwardly, inwardly, upwardly and again inwardly to form U-type channels. Inserted into these channels are channel supports which act to internally fortify the supporting capabilities of the channels and maybe corrugated cardboard, urethane foam, honeycomb structure of syn...
A method for synthesizing a crystalline silicophosphoaluminate is provided. The composition has ion-exchange properties and is readily convertible to catalytically active material. The synthesis method requires an organic phase, and an aqueous phase. The silicon, phosphorus and aluminum components of the silicophosphoaluminate may, optionally, be replaced with other elements in the plus 4, 5 and 3 valence states, respectively.
Disclosed are an oncogene-related peptide characterized in that the peptide comprises a portion of the amino acid sequence of a gene product coded for by an oncogene, an antigen or immunogen formed from the oncogene-related peptide and a carrier, an antibody against such antigen or immunogen, and a method of determining a gene product coded for by an oncogene by an immunoreaction with use of such antibody.
A surfboard is provided with fins, at least one of which is canted at an angle to the longitudinal axis and also tilted relative to the surface of the board, and reinforcing fibers are applied to extend continuously from along the fin to along the board, and adhered to each.
16-Dehydropregnenolone or 16-dehydroprogesterone is produced by cleavage of the .DELTA..sup.20(22) double bond in pseudodiosgenin diacetate or pseudodiosgenone acetate by means of photo-oxidation with singlet oxygen in the presence of hematoporphyrin dye.
The invention relates to psychopharmacologically active peptides with the general formula: A--L--Glu--L--His--X, in which A represents: H--D--Met, H--L--Met (.fwdarw.O), H--D--Met (.fwdarw.O), H--L--Met(.fwdarw.O.sub.2), H--D--Met (.fwdarw.O.sub.2), desamino-Met, desamino-Met(.fwdarw.O), desamino-Met (.fwdarw.O.sub.2), or the moiety H.sub.2 N--B--CO--, in which B stands for a branched or unbranched alkylene group with 1-6 carbon atoms, and In which X represents a hydroxy group, a (N-phenylalkyl)...
A camera having electrical circuitry for automatically determining the extent to which film in the camera is exposed. The circuitry includes an electromagnet for terminating an exposure upon deenergizing of the electromagnet. A DC voltage source is electrically connected to the electromagnet and there is also electrically connected thereto a supply of a rippled direct current having a weak AC component. This latter supply which takes place simultaneously with the supply from the DC voltage sourc...
Thin-wall molded electric storage battery boxes with wall thicknesses not in excess of 0.200 inches are molded from rubber compositions characterized by less than 20 weight percent styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, a high filler content, a low sulfur content within the range of about 4 to 12 weight percent of sulfur based on the rubber, a processing oil, and a styrene-butadiene copolymer resin in a range of from about 2 to about 8 weight percent based on the total composition. The composition ...
A system for accommodating a simultaneous monitoring of the integrity of a plurality of remotely related buildings from a common observation station, characterized by a plurality of monitoring units each having an integrity monitoring circuit, integrated with one of a plurality of said remotely related buildings for continuously conducting an electrical current, the amperage of which is indicative of building integrity, and an observation circuit located at the observation station common to all ...
It is known to obtain a correction factor by determining theoretical gross thrust by measuring engine pressures and by measuring actual gross thrust and using a comparison between theoretical and measured gross thrust to develop a correction factor. However the correction factor is variable in accordance with certain engine pressures and requires the use of elaborate altitude test cell facilities to define it for a practical working range. This invention measures engine pressures in a static sea...
