Conventional rock pickers usually consist of a rotary rake or a fixed prong assembly. The present device incorporates both systems and provides further for raising and lowering both the prong assembly and the rotary rake relative to the ground and secondly, it provides an hydraulic drive for the rotary rake so that both the speed and direction of rotation of the rotary rake can be controlled by the operator.
An elongated frame is provided including front and rear ends. The rear end portion of the frame includes rear wheeled transverse axle structure supported from the frame for adjustable angular displacement in a horizontal plane relative to the frame. The front end portion of the frame includes towing structure supported from the frame for adjustable shifting transversely thereof and operative, in conjunction with the adjustable axle structure, to establish an angularly adjusted towed relationship...
A rock drill assembly and more particularly a rock drill assembly having improved fluid power means therefor.
A rock drill comprises a shaft having a leading and a trailing end, a shank connected to the trailing end, and a drill head connected to the leading end of the shaft. Means for transporting drilling from the leading end toward the trailing end of the shaft are provided which include at least one channel extending parallel to the shaft from the drill head toward the shank. A shell coaxially surrounds the shaft and bounds the channel, which shell has an open front end adjacent the drill head, a cl...
Rock bit for drilling holes in the earth's crust which can be connected to driving means and being provided with supports or rock bit legs in which rotatable cutting elements or cutter cones are journalled, wherein a rock bit support comprises a removable part to which the bearing outer race ring is connected, the support part being a regularly shaped spatial body having edges which, in the assembled position, are situated in boundary planes of the support or rock bit leg.
This invention is conerned with conveyors using reciprocating flights to convey material along the length of the conveyor. The conveyor consists essentially of a bed of articulated plates, a track constraining a chain adjacent a first longitudinal edge of the bed, spaced flights attached to the chain and located to extend across the bed and means for reciprocating the chain along the track. The chain is preferably made of rigid members of substantially uniform cross-section and the flights are s...
A method of reinforcing a rock formation with rock bolts establishing a lock-in pre-stress condition inhibiting the initiation of movement of the formation, and structural features of a rock bolt assembly capable of use in the practice of the method.
Apparatus for picking rocks, or similar articles, from the ground including a frame supported for forward movement over the ground, and an elongated rotatable digging head having a plurality of laterally-spaced ground-penetrating teeth thereon. An elongated rotatable clearing head is mounted above the digging head and includes a plurality of laterally-spaced teeth which are positioned to sweep between the digging teeth to remove picked articles therefrom. The digging head is mounted for vertical...
A rock bolt comprising a bolt body, a bag member directly surrounding an outer periphery of the bolt body adjacent to one end thereof, retainer means from securely fixing the bag member direct to the bolt body, a first tube means for feeding packing material into the bag member and extending through the bag member and toward the other end of the bolt body. The packing material filled into the bag member acts to lid or plug the hole into which the rock bolt has been inserted.
A rock drill, especially for rotary blow drilling, with a drill shank which ver its entire length has solid cross sections and which at one end is provided with at least one hard metal cutting part inserted into a transverse groove and supported by the drill head, which latter, at least directly behind the cutting edge, has a substantially circular solid cross section.
