Improved skin compositions which are capable of reducing oil and grease secretion from the skin comprising a combination of niacinamide and a C.sub.11 -C.sub.30 alkyl or alkenyl ester of salicylic acid formulated in a specific carrier such as a vanishing cream base are disclosed.
