An event scoring apparatus using a video multiplexer and method are created y using a plurality of video cameras to cover limited fields of view of a given area. The cameras are distributed to cover the area. The video output of the cameras is used as input to a video multiplex circuit which multiplexes the camera video signals to form a composite signal containing the desirable information from each camera and generated the sync signal for the slave camera. By counting horizontal lines of video...
Disclosed is a video camera in which the CRT of the electronic view finder is disposed in the hand grip.
A video system comprising a unitary body type camera, constituted of a video camera for image pick up and a recorder for recording the image signal obtained from the camera, and a reproducing adapter used in combination with the unitary body type camera. The lens of the camera is covered with the reproducing adapter when the adapter is mounted on the unitary body type camera. The reproducing adapter is connected to the camera for converting the recorded image signal into a signal reproducible on...
An entertainment head-end provides broadcast programming, video-on-demand services, and HTML-based interactive programming through a distribution network to client terminals in subscribers' homes. A number of different features are provided, including novel user interfaces, enhanced video-on-demand controls, a variety of interactive services (personalized news, jukebox, games, celebrity chat), and techniques that combine to provide user experiences evocative of conventional television.
A video signal processor for repetitive line data, such as the typical TV horizontal scan line. An acoustic surface wave delay line comprising a piezoelectric substrate with an input wave launcher and a plurality of interdigital taps is provided. The video signal line "fits" in the overall delay and electronic circuits (preferably of the integrated circuit type) are connected to the taps. Individual taps each have a weighting amplifier weighting from line center to early and late extremes, and t...
Video enhancement enable visually-apparent improvements to image frames of a video sequence. In an example implementation, stabilized or other image frames include missing image areas that are filled using a video completion technique. The missing image areas are filled in using a video completion technique that involves motion inpainting. Local motion data of a motion map from known image areas is propagated into the missing image areas to produce an extended motion map. Pixels of the missing i...
The present invention provides a video camera which ensures that the user will recognize recording mode, thereby preventing the user from confusing a target recording medium. For that, the video camera 100 has a character information composition unit 3 which composites image data outputted by a signal processing unit 2 with predetermined information consisting of characters or pictographic characters to be recognized by the user during operation and outputs a resulting video signal, a liquid cry...
This invention provides a video system including an image pickup device for converting an optical image into a video signal, an image pickup direction changing device for changing the image pickup direction of the image pickup device, an image display device for displaying the video signal output from the image pickup device, and a function display device for displaying function information of the image pickup device.
An MPEG video decoder 1 decodes a MPEG video stream using a discrete cosine transform together with a motion compensated prediction performing backward prediction and forward prediction. A frame buffer 104a is provided with a storage area for forward-reference luminance data used for the backward prediction and a storage area for rearward-reference color-difference data used for the forward prediction. A frame buffer 104b is provided with a storage area for forward-reference color-difference dat...
A system is disclosed for blending two image that makes use of a color map which indicates colors in a foreground can be mixed with the background and how much of each source to mix. One embodiment of the invention restricts the use of the color map to only pixels in the foreground that correspond to a graphic (or effect) in the background. Another embodiment makes use of a gray scale matte which stores blending values for each pixel in the foreground.
